luckily she had a sense of humor
Luckily she had a sense of humor was a group exhibiton with six artists from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden curated by Emma Tryti. It was shown at Gallery Myymälä2 in Helsinki oct/nov 2009 and at Oro gallery in Gothenburg January 2010. The artists Anna Daniell, Jamila Drott, Lilibeth Cuenca Rassmusen, Anna Rokka, Emma Tryti and Marthe Berger Walthinsens works are different visually and technically but share the same sense of playfullness. They all collect fragments from media, Internet, popular culture and then transform it to something completly new. They rea rrange hierarchies, opinions of good/bad taste and other ideas we take for granted, often in a humorous way. A humor that gathers its energy from the absurd reality we all try to take part of. The exhibition was supported by Nordiska Kulturfonden and Kulturfonden för Sverige och Finland.
